The disorder binge episodes (binge eating disorder) occur when the person experiences a sense of loss of control towards the food. The difference with anorexia nervosa is that it does not resort to extreme methods of weight balancing such as induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives, diuretics and or compulsive exercise. The person often feels shame, guilt and disgust after eating and often shows symptoms of depression.

A relationship with food is purely emotional and operates as a balancing mechanism underlying negative emotions. Eating even when not hungry, and usually eats alone. Intense preoccupation with shape and weight of the body is characteristic. According to New studies, episodes of overeating disorder have a wide distribution in the general population. Approximately 2200 people today suffer from the disorder, and with little statistical difference dominated by women than men. Appears in the age range of 20 to 50 years and is more common in obese people. The people of the black race are so defenseless with Caucasians in the progress of this chaos.

What is the therapeutic proposal for the chaos binge episodes?
The impact of the disorder on health is severe: high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, heart complications, diabetes. The psychological effects are equally painful: unstable weight, depression, anxiety, isolation, shame on you, low self-esteem. Individuals with bulimia disorder should seek help from a psychologist who specializes in treating eating disorders, depressive symptoms. Cognitive behavioral therapy involves strengthening the self towards food and the restoration of normal eating patterns. Part of the treatment is the identification and correction of negative perceptions about you, your body, eating and improper behavior towards food, which perpetuate the disorder.”
